A project of a ferry connection between Vladivostok, a Korean city Donghae (Gangwon Province) and Japanese sea port Sakaiminato (Tottory Prefecture) is coming true. The launching of its sea line is planned for the end of February, 2009; at present preparatory works are under way. The activity is especially brisk on the Japanese coast, where a cargo and passenger terminal is being constructed. Meanwhile the Japanese businessmen and officials are busy with commercial promotion of the future ferry.
